Our owner, Corey Ackerman, began working as a plumber just two days after graduating high school. He enjoyed plumbing immediately because it was hands-on and fast-paced. Most of all, he felt excited by the many different relationships he got to build with employers, customers, and coworkers alike.
After 9 years in the business, he and his wife, a new mother at the time, decided to take his passion and experience and start a company. It has been over a decade since that day and Ackerman Plumbing is now one of the most well-respected home service providers in our area.
All along, our owner’s goal for Ackerman Plumbing was to make something bigger than himself. Today, our company is just that. We are members of the communities we serve, and we strive to give back in myriad ways. From providing reliable plumbing services to raising money for charity and honoring our nation’s heroes, we work hard to contribute positively to Iowa City and Johnson County.
